UOVHSAA Golf Results

On September 28th, the UOVHSAA Golf Championship was held in Killaloe at Homestead at Wolf Ridge Golf Course. Seventy-six athletes, from eight local high schools participated, teeing up for 18-holes.

The top two teams from the boys and girls divisions advance to EOSSAA, as well as four individual athletes. EOSSAA will be held in Ottawa Tuesday October 4th. In the boys’ team division Bishop Smith (Thomas Pigeon, Even Varvaresos, Will Nichol and Charlie Townsend) with a score of 275 and RCI with a score of 278 ( Carter Jarrett, Colin Charron, Connor Hanniman, Nigel Vaile) will advance.

In the girls’ team division Bishop Smith (Avery Foy, Mackenzie Summers, Danika MacWilliams, and Alyssa Henry) with a score of 312 and Opeongo (Keysha Tw0-Axe, Lauren Lorbetski, and Tatum Loader) with a score of 334 will head to EOSSAA next week.

Individual athletes Abigail Miller of St. Joseph’s High School shot a 91, and  Lily Seegmiller from Fellowes shot a 99 to advance in the girls division. Cash Welk from Opeongo with a score 78 and Noah Geddes from Fellowes with a score of 86, will be representing UOVHSAA in next weeks tournament.
